Emergency Educator Advancement

Please complete this section if you would like to apply for the EOREN Classified & Emergency Educator Advancement Scholarship. Scholarship amounts shall not exceed $5,000 per year, per successful applicant (or $10,000 total per applicant). 

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

• Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate Teacher Licensure Program

• Agree to work in one of the 40 EOREN districts for at least two years following program completion

Preference will be given to those who:

• Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher

• Are currently working in one of the 40 EOREN districts as an instructional assistant, or similar position (e.g. educational assistant, paraprofessional, etc.), or as an emergency licensed classroom educator

• A resident of Huntington, Oregon or Grant, Harney, Lake, Malheur, or Wallowa counties 

• Demonstrate financial need

• Are supported by their employer-district in their path of continuing education as evidenced by a letter of recommendation from the applicant's current district

• Come from a diverse background (socio-economic, ethnicity, linguistic, etc.)

Applications for the Classified & Emergency Educator Advancement Program will be reviewed and awarded according to the following timeline:

• We are not currently accepting applications - please continue to check back for future opportunities. We anticipate opening an application cycle in the Spring or Summer of 2026 for the 2026-27 school year.
