Oregon History Day Rural Educator Cohort

Dedlne: July 18, 2024

Educators teaching in grades 6–12 at a public or private Oregon school outside of the Portland, Eugene, and Salem metro areas are invited to apply to join our new Oregon History Day Rural Educator Cohort!

Members will work in partnership with OHS’s education staff to pilot Oregon History Day (OHD) in their school as a class assignment, interdisciplinary assignment, enrichment/elective class, or a club/after school program during the 2024–2025 school year. OHD is a project-based research curriculum for middle and high school students that is part of the National History Day® program. Educators may participate in the cohort individually, but we encourage educators to partner with colleagues to make it a team effort. The commitment is from fall 2024 through spring 2025 and includes attending six virtual meetings via Zoom. Educators will be compensated with a $500 stipend and 6 PDUs after the last Zoom meeting.
