Science of Reading PD: Train the Trainer Series
Knowledge meets practice in this literacy PD series presented by Multnomah Education Service District. This training will equip participants with the knowledge and tools to teach their staff about the science of reading, related assessments, and foundational skills instruction.
Educator Empowerment Academy
OEA’s Center for Great Public Schools (CGPS) is recruiting teams of 3-5 people to participate in our third annual Educator Empowerment Academy, a year-long learning community that empowers teams to solve a problem of practice in their school, district, local, or UniServ with coaching and support using OEA's Empowerment Process. Twenty teams from around the state will be chosen to participate in this exciting opportunity from October 2021 - June 2022.
Coaching for Empowerment Academy
EA’s Center for Great Public Schools (CGPS) takes in nominations each spring from OEA members and leaders to participate in our annual Coaching for Empowerment Academy, a year-long learning community that focuses on helping members grow as coaches in OEA’s Empowerment Process Twenty OEA members from around the state will be chosen to participate in this exciting opportunity from August 2021 - May 2022.
Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) is the foundation on which quality early learning is built. Join us June 9-10 for a one-of-a-kind virtual event featuring the leading voices in the field. This event will be an opportunity for anyone involved with early education to explore the rationale and consequences to their work from the recent revisions to the DAP Position Statement and the upcoming 4th edition of Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Program
East Oregon Teacher Academy
The East Oregon Teacher Academy at Eastern Oregon University (EOU), sponsored by The College of Education aims to graduate the brightest high school freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Opportunities also exist for current paraprofessionals in the field to participate. All participants will have the chance to earn EOU credit.
