We have a new time-sensitive opportunity to offer educators within the region. We are planning to bring reading and dyslexia specialist Barbara Steinberg back to Malheur County for the 2021 Summer Institute to offer a refresher course July 19-21 (additional details on this will be posted on the website as they become available).

However, if you do not already have someone in your school trained/certified, there is a prerequisite Foundations in Reading Comprehensive Course being offered virtually June 21-25, 2021. Details on the course can be found here. The cost of the LIVE Virtual Foundations training is $795/educator. If you are currently employed by a member school district of the Eastern Oregon REN (Grant, Harney, Lake, Malheur, or Wallowa County), there are limited funds available to pay for your registration. Please complete the form below no later than June 8 if you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity. Upon approval, we will notify you, and enroll you in the course on your behalf. Unfortunately, we will not be able to reimburse you for this training if you enroll yourself.
