Launch your writing class with determination, organization and enthusiasm! Come learn to implement, sustain and celebrate writing in your classroom! Workshop will be held at the Four Rivers Cultural Center in Ontario, OR. Space is limited-sign up to reserve your spot today! Cost is free to Oregon Educators with preference given to educators currently working in Grant, Harney, Lake, Malheur, and Wallowa County school districts.

Session topics will include:

  • Getting Started-the first ten days of school

  • Making a Roadmap for Instruction

  • What is a Mini-Lesson and how do I teach one?

  • Creating a Community of writers

  • Writing Process made easier

Participants will receive the following Free Resources:

  • Book: The First 15 Days of Writer's Workshop by Kelly Boswell

  • Writer’s Kit

  • Resource Binder

Target Audience: Kindergarten and 1st Grade Classroom teachers, Administrators, District leaders, Instructional coaches/ Team leaders, Special services educators, EL educators.
